The Team Behind the Light
Every Lighthouse project is designed and installed by the same small team, so the people who plan your lighting are the ones aiming it at dusk.
Nick has owned Lighthouse of Denver since 2021 and leads the design team, with a hand in every project from the first walk of the property to the final aiming at dusk. His work has earned five AOLP design awards and has been featured in Masters of Landscape Lighting. A Colorado resident for 20 years, he lives in Lone Tree with his family and still gets a kick out of the moment the lights come on for the first time.
Skylar is a Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technician (CLVLT #2525) through the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals and has had a hand in every Lighthouse installation, landscape and holiday, for the past five years. He leads the install crew, runs our service and maintenance visits, and is the person most clients know by name. Originally from Pennsylvania, he’s spent his entire Colorado career building lighting systems that survive Front Range winters.

LANDSCAPE LIGHTING SERVICES
Every project starts with a walk of your property and ends with a plan drawn fixture by fixture, with color temperatures chosen for each surface so your stone, stucco and trees look as true at night as they do in daylight.
Our certified low-voltage crew installs solid brass fixtures, buries every wire at least 6 inches deep, and finishes with a nighttime aiming visit so the lighting matches the design.
Annual visits to clean lenses, re-level and re-aim fixtures after winter heave, trim back growth, replace lamps and check the transformer, and keep your warranty extended year after year. Most clients call it Legacy Care.
Outdoor speakers that blend into your landscape, so you hear the music, not the hardware.
Custom-fit roofline, tree and wreath displays installed by the same crew that handles your landscape lighting, stored and reinstalled for you every season.

FAQs ABOUT OUTDOOR LIGHTING DENVER
Whether you’re a business wanting to wow customers and guests or a homeowner looking to improve your curb appeal, here are some important questions and answers to consider
How long does landscape lighting last?
A well-built system should last the life of the home. Our solid brass fixtures carry a lifetime warranty, and the integrated high-CRI LEDs we install are warranted for 5 years on standard fixtures and 10 years on premium modular fixtures. Every wire connection is permanently crimped, not twisted together with the wire nuts landscapers and electricians rely on, so the connections don't loosen or corrode. What does change over time is the small stuff: lenses cloud over, plants grow into fixtures, and a few Front Range freeze-thaw cycles will heave path lights and uplights out of level. That's why we recommend an annual service visit; systems we maintain are still running well after a decade.
Can You Overdo Landscape Lighting?
Yes, and it's the most common mistake we fix. Too many fixtures, or fixtures that are too bright, flatten a home into a glowing box and wash out the shadows that make a landscape look good at night. Good design is about contrast: a few focal points, layers of light at different heights, and plenty of darkness in between. Our designs typically use fewer fixtures than clients expect, placed and aimed more carefully.
What does landscape lighting cost in Denver?
Projects start at $5,000. Most homeowners invest between $8,000 and $20,000, and larger properties and full-property designs often exceed $20,000. The price is driven by the number of fixtures, the fixture grade (we install solid brass, not aluminum or plastic), and whether you want a zoned, app-controlled system. Design consultations are free, and for smaller projects you'll usually get a plan and a proposal during the consultation itself.
What are the most effective outdoor lighting systems?
Low-voltage LED systems built with solid brass fixtures are the standard for residential landscape lighting today. Just as important as the hardware is the color of the light. We vary color temperature to match each application so your landscape renders as close to its true daytime appearance as possible: typically 2700K to 3000K on architecture and most plantings, but we'll go as high as 4000K on something like a Colorado blue spruce, which looks spectacular under a cooler, whiter light. For clients who want more control, zoned systems with dimming and app control let you set different scenes for a dinner party and a quiet Tuesday night.
What is the guarantee on outdoor lighting in Denver?
Our brass fixtures carry a lifetime warranty, our LEDs are covered for 5 years on standard fixtures and 10 years on premium modular fixtures, and our labor is warranted for the first year. After that, clients who enroll in our annual service and maintenance plan have their LED and labor coverage extended every year they stay on it. Every system is installed by AOLP Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technicians with all wiring buried at least 6 inches deep to protect it from aerators and other lawn equipment.
Even with these rigorous standards, we stand behind our work with comprehensive warranties. Our brass fixtures carry a lifetime warranty, our LEDs are covered for a minimum of five years, and our labor is warranted for the first year.
After the first year, clients can enroll in our annual maintenance program, which extends LED and labor coverage indefinitely. It’s a long-term plan designed to provide years of reliable, worry-free operation.
What Is Landscape Lighting Used for?
Three things, usually at once. Curb appeal: lighting the architecture and the best trees so the home looks as good at 9 p.m. as it does at noon. Living space: making patios, outdoor kitchens and fire pits usable after dark, which in Colorado means most of the year. And safety: lit paths, steps and driveways, and a home that's visibly occupied. Done well, it also adds to resale value, since it's one of the first things a buyer sees at a showing.
