Brick Ranch

This project is proof that even smaller, unassuming homes can look like a million bucks with the right lighting design applied. This property presented many challenges for the Charlotte Lighthouse installation team.

More than 75% of the front of this home is locked in by concrete, which eliminates the possibility of using stake mounted directional lights which are typically mounted in the soil. To provide consistent, even illumination across the front of this home, the concrete had to be core drilled in key locations and lights had to be recessed into the holes to provide up lighting to illuminate the walls and peaks of this home.

Lights were also set into the brick walls which required placing wire into the mortar joints of the brick walls to conceal the wire paths to the light fixtures.
